The existence of WCS Malaysia was announced about 2 months before the competition date. My team was formed right about then.
After much discussion, from the SS team; Yuan, Kids and I (sky) will be joining the WCS as contestants while others will be helping us throughout the journey. And the theme will be as such:
ACM qualifying round : .Hack//GU
WCS Round A : Alichino
WCS Round B : PSOH maybe...
Why ACM? Because the rules stated we have to qualify through ACM on Saturday to enter WCS qualifying round on Sunday. Weirdest rule ever but... *sigh* So we pushed ourselves to complete making 7 new costumes within the span of 2 months. Haseo's costume is done.... all left are AIDA Atoli, Atoli, Myobi, Ryokou, Honlon, T-chan, & Count D. Ambitious much yes? Yes too much... coz by Round A's date, we could only finish up .Hack n Alichino's costume. All our costumes were done over the weekends, because we all have work n studies to focus on.
In case you're wondering, yes costumes n props are almost 100% handmade by team members n friends. Seriously... 2 months is too short a time to make costumes!! We tried. The craftsmanship was divided as such:
Yuan = Haseo's armor n guns, AIDA's wings, buttmolester, body suit foam n paintjob, hat, Myubi's head-in-cage, sword n wings, Ryouko's buugeng n shirt detailing
Sky = Haseo's shirt, Myoubi's dress, shoulder armor, boots, petticoat n wings, Atoli's dress n sleeves, Ryouko's shirt, AIDA's tentacles
Kids = Atoli's cape, n hat, AIDA's tentacles
Ikki = AIDA's tentacles, purple virus
Cappy = soundtrack n amusement 8D
Kuro n Dora = Data Drain
Ezli n Weiss = finishing touches at Johor hotel
not handmade = Ryoko and Haseo's pants
PREPARATION - Skit
We did the script, recording n editing on the 1st month, for all 3 skits. Our fabulous seiyuu are:
Xajin = Haseo, Ryouko, Count D
Ikki = Atoli, AIDA Atoli, memory voice
Yuan = memory voice, Matsulika
Sky = Myoubi
Script written by Yuan n Sky. Sound editting done by Sky, using a freeware called Sony Soundforge 10.
PREPARATION - Transportation & Accommodation
Everyone from my team came from Kuala Lumpur. Initially Dei, a friend of ours, offered his house in Johor for us to stay for free! But the organizer INSISTED we pay rm300 n stay at the hotel they 'provided' called 11@Century. We have to... and we did, or else be disqualified. Q^Q
Because of this, a lot of our friends/helpers/supporters decided to just come for 1 day n not stay at Johor. In the end, only left 2 cars for our 3 days journey; the 3 contestants + Ezli and Ikki. Yes we somehow fit everything in. Sooo.... onwards to our WCS journey in the next update~!!! Go Go Team SS from KL!! \o/
