Anyway, currently The National Art Gallery is hosting an Exhibition called JAPAN: Kingdom of Characters. So on Thursday 8/3/12, when the Japanese Ambassador came to visit, a group of us cosplayers volunteered to give him and his guests a welcoming entourage. Very short, nothing fancy, and gives me excuse to check out the exhibition. Unfortunately there's very little to see... wish there are more stuff exhibited considering there's a lot of empty space provided. NST and STAR journalist were around covering the event, but i stayed in the shadows lol~

ANIMAX CARNIVAL 2012
Animax Carnival was held at 1utama on the 10/3/2012. At first i thought of only checking it out a while b4 going to the movie.... but my friends keep asking me to join the competition. I agreed in the end.... but reusing old costume coz... well idk. Wasn't really gung ho about all this.
20 contestants overall. i couldn't comment much on the skits coz i didn't manage to watch. I only managed to hang around with cosplayers at the side stage area there throughout the event because i destroyed my shoes. There were many cosplayers and visitors that day, surprisingly! Mostly vocaloids hahaha.... the vocaloid force still remain strong in Malaysia! Had insane fun hanging out with friends, Yuan traumatizing the male... the usual gig.
YEAAA ANGST ALL THE WAY!!!! We had to do 2 skits for this competition, 1 pre-prepared and 1 spontaneous without audio help. My skits this time was so drama-filled i feel so "the fuck is this, the fuck was that" at myself! I was cosplaying the Chiru version of Beatrice, dragging Yuan as Battler the bastard-tsun Sorcerer and my son Wen as Ronove (managed to make his costume using my leftover cloth in time phew~)

Stabity STAB!! Honestly not enough preparation... even the sword we used was what supposedly for Shonen Onmyouji but still unfinished yet eheheh...
Yes that is the famous Alodia, cosplaying as Yui from K-On. She was one of the invited celebrity judge and spokesperson for this Animax event. SHE LOOKS AND TALKS LIKE A DOLL I TELL YOU!!! Ayase was judging as well as Killua (no Hisoka *sobs*) And then my other son Xajin was the most fangirled creature at this event with his Sebastian *whyaminotsurprised.jpeg
Unfortunately there's NO VIDEO of the skit nor competition i could find. The bane of cosplaying non-mainstream anime *fail laugh*
But somehow, surprisingly, won anyway trolololiduneven~ me 1st, Xajin 2nd, and Ayumi 3rd. Aaaand I got to hug Alodia on-stage HAHAHAH BURN FANBOIS BUUUURN <---- Yuan said that actually.
Right afterwards we were interviewed by Animax and required to say a million and one things for them. You'll probably see it soon on Animax channel after they edited off all the idiotic parts we did. "Thank you Animax and Astro for this fun and exciting event! yay!"
The next day we came back to 1utama and watch John Carter (without cosplaying of course), just as originally planned.
KARNIVAL BELIA KREATIF
... was CANCELLED *le fuuuuuu~!!! We were very disappointed becoz me and Yuan wanted to battle it out against each other over WHO IS MORE TROLLOLOL BEBEH?!!! Guess we won't be seeing that anytime soon....
RAGE EVENT
Radical Anime Games Expo 2012 will be held on he 31/3/2012 and 1/4/2012 over at Melaka. Yay~ roadtrip!!! Me and my friends will be doing a cosplay skit tribute in honour of Shiomaru and her amazing songs!!! Look forward to it on day 1 yaaa~ \o/
OTHER FUTURE EVENTS
- Gamefest 4 on 7th and 8th of April, Grand Hall Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. (probably won' be attending)
- C2Age on 18th, 19th and 20th of May at Tropicana City Mall, Petaling Jaya.
-Malaysia Games and Comic Convention on 19th and 20th of May at Kolej Damansara Utama, KL.
- Video Games Live concert on 26th and 27th of May at Istana Budaya, KL.
- (AFA) Anime Festival Asia on 9th and 10th of June at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.
- (ACM) Asia Cosplay Meet on early June.
