The biggest yearly event in Malaysia is back again!! i missed it last year so i was pretty excited for this year's!! Especially since it's held at KL Convention Centre... so called Dream Venue for most (and myself).
PREPERATIONS BEFORE CF
We started around... 2 weeks before event? Mostly because we didn't have enough money for materials.....but bless us the winnings from Gempak helped a lot!
So i started and finished off making Galaxy Angels' Mint costume. The pattern seem easy but i don't have Ruffler-foot so i had to handmade the ruffles and poofy sleeves and gold lining.... overall took about 3~4 days. And Narukids helped me make my boot covers!! Thank u sooo much!!!
Yuan also worked on completing the collar of his Kuhn costume.
Then we started to work on both our Fire Emblem and Origami Cyclone costumes. We did parts of each others' costumes.
Yuan did my helmet n shuriken. Isn't it fabulous?! Don't have pics of the rest of WIP since we were rushing like mad!!!
Oh yea we learn the hard way.... that if leather glue is drying up on our skin, IT BURNS. IT BURNS REAL BAD!!! yep.... we MASO ppl.
COMIC FIESTA DAY 1
Very uneventful day. In the late morning we rushed to event to see CRAZY QUEUE LINES outside the hall. I was so glad I have the 'Group Cosplay Contestant' immunity tag or i would have joined the queue. The competition is ... nothing much lol~ we didn't manage to practice at all so we all trollolol all the way. U can see the video here altho the angle/position is not in the middle.

However, after the competition at hall 5, we went to hall 4 to chill, and that's when some shit happened. Not sure of the details, but the entrance and exit doors were closed for hours? Technically we were locked up in the hall. Doing nothing. Until late evening we were 'released' which by then i just went to buy some doujin stuff at Hall5 and then went home all tired and fed up with the whole situation.
COMIC FIESTA DAY 2
A lot of ppl assumed i'm entering the solo cosplay competition... I'm NOT!!! i'm just tired ok. We came really early because i read in the CF Forum the parking fee is flat rate RM10 if we park before 8.30am. And so we just chilled and waited for our Tiger & Bunny to assemble. I WANTED to photobomb people BUT apparently the hall was so obscenely crowded and my costume parts kept being knocked off by the crowd. So i didn't. Forgive this useless person oh my Sponsors!!! Anyway, the team manage to completely group up around 2pm, where we had a quick photoshoot n videoshoot (will update the blog later when it comes out). Then i admit defeat, changed to normal attire.
The costume was my first time making armour-ish stuff. Both costumes were 100% handmade by me and Yuan. All the sewing n the glueing of the leather, vynil, foam... and wearing it.... AGHFZZZ it is the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE thing. i really don't see the fun of armour. U won't be seeing me as a Gundam anytime in the future. But for the moment it was nice to cosplay Origami Cyclone. Onwards to pic-spam.

It was awesome to be part of cosplay groups!! I rarely get invited because i'm not exactly a Moe-moe-kyun person. So i wanna thank you all for letting me be part of the team!! I love you all a lot!!! 1 old anime and 1 new anime... my fandom is really balanced, don't you think?
This year's CF i managed to meet up with Jinxie, K and Aly whom i met when i went to WCS Japan last few months. It's good to see them crazies again!!! *love lots* Hopefully we can meet again in the future. Also randomly met a Blue Rose which we dragged into our team LOL nice to meet u!!!
The year 2011 coming to a close. Will be doing one last cosplay at the New Year's Party. And then onward to another new year full of fun, laughter, and frills. I'm still trying to balance my love for lolita outfits and cosplay. They both cost a lot! And since i now have a lil experience with armour-making, Yuan suggested me to finally do that Saber cosplay that i have been postponing to make for many years due to lack of self confidence!!! Ah~ hope can do it well.
Not my picture, not my clothes.... but i sure would love to own something like that in the future *sigh* Anyway~ till next time!!! Y'all have a wonderful monsoon ok?!!
Oh btw... the RM10 parking fee WAS A CHEAT A LIE!!!! After CF, we went to chill at our friend's hotel room... and by the time we got back, the parking fee was RM40!!!! AAAGHH!!! i am so frustrated and broke and shitz!
